Obituary of Frances Victoria Shaw-Grant
Frances Victoria Shaw-Grant, 55, of East Brunswick died April 28, 2007 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. She was born in Jersey City on March 11, 1952 to the late Ernest Shaw and Victoria Rivers Shaw. She was educated in the Jersey City Public Schools and graduated from St. Peter’s College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She was employed at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for the past 26 years where she was awarded a plaque for 25 years of service. She was a member of Calvary A.M.E. Church, Jersey City from early childhood until she moved to East Brunswick in 1999. She later became a member at Bethel A.M.E. Church, Freehold until God called her home. She was predeceased by a brother, Michael Shaw. She was married to Timothy Grant. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, Timothy La Shaw Grant; a brother, James Shaw; two sisters, Louise Mack and Melissa Stoudemire; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Carter Shaw; two brothers-in-law, Norell Mack and Mason Stoudemire; 14 nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Bethel A.M.E. Church, Freehold on Monday followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
