Obituary of James P. McDonagh

James P. McDonagh, 60, of Howell Township died Monday, June 11, 2007 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. He was born in Bronx, N.Y. and had resided in Palisades Park before moving to Howell Township 13 years ago. Mr. McDonagh was an electrician for Petrocelli Electric at the United Nations, New York City for 38 years. He was a communicant of St. Veronica’s Church, Howell Township. He was loved by all and his family knew how much he loved them. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Charlene Westphal McDonagh; two sons, James P., Jr. and his wife Denise, Teaneck and Michael C. McDonagh, Howell Township; a daughter, Ann Grace McDonagh, Howell Township; two brothers, John and Michael McDonagh; four sisters, Mary Moore and her husband Thomas, Kathleen Fimbel and her husband Peter, Eileen Fritzky and her husband, Jack, and Bridget McDonagh; a sister-in-law, Susan Kirby; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Joanne Westphal; a grandson, James J. McDonagh; many nieces and nephews; and his dear friend and golf partner, Alan Purcell. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St Veronica’s Church, Route 9, Howell Township on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
