Obituary of Elizabeth Sarah Smith

Elizabeth Sarah Smith, 88, of Freehold Township died Friday, June 29, 2007 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Mrs. Smith was born in South Langhorne, Pennsylvania and resided in Morrisville, Pennsylvania prior to moving to Freehold Township over 50 years ago. Mrs. Smith was a burler at the former A. & M. Karagheusian Rug Mill, Freehold. She was also employed at M&Q Plastics, Freehold and Charms Company and Worthington Biochemical Company, both of Freehold Township. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Freehold. She was the widow of Russell Smith who died in 1968. Surviving are a son, William Russell Smith, California; a daughter, Linda Smith, Freehold Township; and two grandchildren, William Russell Smith, Jr. and Brian Alexander Smith. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. David F. Bowman officiating. The interment will be held at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
