Obituary of B. Jeanine Willis

B. Jeanine Willis, 67 of Freehold Township died Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at St. Barnabas Hospice, Long Branch. Born in Neptune Township, she lived in Asbury Park prior to moving to Freehold Township 45 years ago. Mrs. Willis was the executive director of the New Jersey State Youth Soccer Association, East Windsor for over 20 years. Mrs. Willis was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Freehold. She was a member of the Freehold Township Board of Education for the past 26 years, where she served as vice president for six years and president for seven years; a 40 year member and second vice president of the Monmouth Council Girl Scouts; treasurer of the Monmouth-Ocean Soccer Association; first vice president of the Battle of Monmouth Soccer Club; and charter member of the Noontime Optimist Club. Daughter of the late Dr. William Jemison and Elisabeth Barkalow Jemison; she is survived by her husband of 45 years, John D. Willis; three daughters and sons-in-law, Leslie Willis and Chris Davis, Golden, Colorado; Lindsey and Kenneth Nappi, Freehold; and Lauren and Jeffrey O’Donnell, Freehold Township; and three grandchildren Reed and Britney Nappi, and Ryan O’Donnell. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.. Funeral services will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 33 Throckmorton Street, Freehold on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
