Obituary of Edythe June Gilliland

Edythe June Gilliland, 77, of Freehold died Friday, August 10, 2007 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Gilliland was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and had resided in Keyport before moving to Freehold 49 years ago. Mrs. Gilliland was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Freehold. She was the widow of David R. Gilliland who died in 1979. She was also predeceased by a grandson, Michael Kinkel, in 2004. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, David, Jr. and Carol Gilliland, Ocean Grove; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Richard Kinkel, Boynton Beach, Florida; a sister, Marilyn Cannon, Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Richard Kinkel, Jr., D. Storm Gilliland, Douglas Kinkel, Amy O’Connell, Shea Gilliland, Mark Kinkel; two step grandchildren; and a great grandchild. Graveside services will be held at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
