Obituary of James A. Pritchett
James A. Pritchett, 62, of Freehold died Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at home. He was born in Alabama and had resided in Freehold for the past 37 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was recipient of the Purple Heart Award. Mr. Pritchett was a mason and a member of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union Local No. 4, Morristown. He was a member of the Church of God and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4374, both of Freehold. He was predeceased by a son, Johnny Tyrell Pritchett, his father, John Adair, his mother, Ida Mae Pritchett, and his mother-in-law, Mary Battle. Surviving are his wife, Fornetta Skinner Pritchett; three sons, Michael Pritchett, Lakewood and his fiancé, Michelle Peace, James Pritchett, Jr., Georgia, and Deron Pritchett and his wife, Lisa, Jackson Township; three daughters, Martha Ann Pritchett, Neptune, Jacqueline Hargrove and her husband John, Freehold and Kimberly Smith, Florida; a nephew and two nieces to whom he was a father figure, Barry, Michelle, and Branden Battle; 18 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his church family at the Church of God, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. The viewing will be held at the Church of God, 26 Ave. A, Freehold on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the church on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
