Obituary of Margaret W. Tanner
Margaret W. Tanner, 86 of Bentley Village, Naples, Florida, formerly of Freehold, died Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the Care Center at Bentley Village. She was a member of the Moorings Presbyterian Church, Naples, Florida. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Freehold, and in her earlier years was a lyric soprano soloist in the choir. She loved tennis and golf and had played for many years at various clubs to which she had belonged, including Quail Creek Country Club, the Moorings Country Club, the Naples Bath and Tennis Club, and the Y.M.C.A., all of Naples, Florida. She was a former member of the Holland Orchards Golf and Tennis Club, and the Country Side Bath and Tennis Club, both of Marlboro Township. Daughter of the late Eustace S. White and Margaret Fraser White; she is survived by her beloved husband, Arnold Tanner; loving mother of Dr. David E. Tanner and his wife Belinda Jean, North Attleborough, Massachusetts; and two brothers, E. James White and his wife Marian, Willow Valley, Pennsylvania, and Roger A. White and his wife Carmela, Eatontown. A memorial service will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday, September 24, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. Inurnment will follow at the family plot in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Donations in her memory to the First Baptist Church of Freehold, 81 West Main Street, Freehold, NJ 07728 would be appreciated.
