Obituary of Richard Smith

Richard Smith, 56 of Sicklerville, formerly of Freehold died Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Underwood Memorial Hospital, Woodbury. Born in Miami, Florida he resided in the Boston, Massachusetts area for many years prior to moving to New Jersey. Mr. Smith was a human services worker for Ancora Psychiatric Hospital, Ancora for the past six years. Prior to that, he was employed at Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital, Marlboro Township for over 15 years. He was known by many as a loyal and dedicated friend who enjoyed music, cooking, acting and fishing. Surviving are four sons and a daughter-in-law, Rushawn and Debbie Wright, Kannapolis, North Carolina, Seneca Holmes, Mashpee, Massachusetts, Michael Smith, Phoenix, Arizona, and Anthony Smith, Boston, Massachusetts; a daughter, Candena A. Wright, Framingham, Massachusetts, a brother, Paul Smith, San Francisco, California; a sister, Claudia Smith-Malone, Cleveland, Ohio; and five grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 P.M.
