Obituary of Henry Woods

Henry M. “Hank” Woods, 92, of Freehold died Thursday, September 20, 2007 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marine Service as a wiper aboard the Sherman O. Houghton during World War II. He was a farmhand for several local farms. Hank was a well known Freehold personality and spent his last years in residence at the Montgomery Care Center in Freehold Township. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The interment will be held at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
