Obituary of Carolyn Smith Flock

Carolyn Smith Flock, 87, of Colts Neck Township passed away on September 22, 2015 at her home. She was born in West Freehold and had resided in Colts Neck for many years.
She was the Monmouth County Potato Queen in 1947. In later years Mrs. Flock and her sister-in-law Marge Flock packaged a line of tiny gourmet Green Mountain potatoes.
She was a former employee of the First National Bank of Freehold.
Mrs. Flock was a longtime member of the Colts Neck Reformed Church and a former member of the First Baptist Church, Freehold.
She was the widow of C. Richard Flock who died in 2007, and was predeceased by two brothers, Karl Smith and T. Fred Smith.
Surviving are three daughters, Lana C. Binaco, Sue A. Boyd and her husband Victor, and Dr. Lori E. LaRue and her husband Stephen; grandchildren, Michael Binaco, Josef and Ryan Boyd, and Carolyn and Ava LaRue; a great granddaughter Madelyn Binaco; and two sisters-in-law, Karlyn Smith and Louise Smith.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Colts Neck Reformed Church, 72 County Route 537, Colts Neck on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Scott D. Brown officiating. The interment will follow at Atlantic Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Colts Neck Reformed Church, PO Box 57, Colts Neck, NJ 07722 would be appreciated.
