Obituary of Charles S. Accisano
Charles S. Accisano, 91, of Freehold died Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at home. Mr. Accisano was born in Freehold and was a lifelong resident. He and his brothers started Bill’s Body and Fender Works, Freehold in 1946 which he operated until his retirement in 1990. Mr. Accisano was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold. He was a founding member of the North Shore Antique Automobile Club and a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and Oldtimers Auto Club. He enjoyed antique automobile restoration and was a national first prize winner for two of his restorations. His wife, Camille A. Accisano, died in 2004. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Francis C. and Judith Accisano, Brielle; a daughter and son-in-law, Charleen and Peter Blevins, Freehold Township; two brothers, Nicholas Accisano, Manalapan Township and William Accisano, Hawley, Pennsylvania; a sister, Rose Palitto, Bayville; five grandchildren, Lynn Ramsay and her husband Anthony, Carolyn Blevins, Patrick Accisano and his wife Kristen, Charles R. Blevins and his fiancé Claudia Camporeale, and Joseph Accisano and his wife Colleen; and six great grandchildren, Liam, Evan and Joseph Ramsay, and Samuel, Nicholas and Aidan Accisano. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. Memorial donations for the benefit of his youngest great grandchild to “Big Hearts To Little Hearts”, 1103 Shore Drive, Brielle, NJ 08730 would be appreciated.
