Obituary of Maria O. Tinio

Maria O. Tinio, 92, a loving homemaker, mother, and grandmother, died on October 5, 2007 at her home in Burr Ridge, Illinois. “Nanay” will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered. She was born in The Philippines on April 16, 1915. She immigrated to United States in 1983 where she was a loving homemaker, mother, and grandmother to her family. Maria was preceded in death by husband, Jose Tinio, a son, Jose Tinio, Jr., and a daughter, Theresa Tinio. She is survived by two sons, Eduardo Tinio and his wife Lillia, Toms River, and Cesar Tinio and his wife Betty, Freehold; four daughters, Erlinda Valdellon and her husband Antonio, Freehold, Alicia Espiritu and her husband Rolando, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Catalina, and Marilou Reyes and her husband Joselito, Burr Ridge, Illinois; 18 grandchildren, Maricar and her husband Bob Polotaye, Edward John Tinio and his wife Christine, John Paul Tinio, Joseph Valdellon and his wife Elaine, Jennifer and her husband Seth Turetsky, Angelica and her husband Greg Vlahos, Edith and her husband Kevin Brennan, Raquel, Mark, Jonathan, Jacqueline, Justin, Karen and her husband Jeremy Schellhardt, Kamille, Michael Joseph, Candice, Christopher, and Celine; eight great grandchildren, Tegan, Jude, Thallia, Calista, Aidan, Rowan, Alexis , and Allen; and many nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday, October 12, 2007 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold on Saturday, October 13, 2007at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, 299 Throckmorton Street, Freehold.
