Obituary of Theodore R. Fekete

Theodore R. Fekete, 74, of Whiting died peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at VanDyke Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Toms River. Mr. Fekete was born in Princeton and had resided in East Brunswick for 25 years and in Martinsburg, West Virginia before moving to Whiting eight years ago. Mr. Fekete was a credit coordinator for Bristol Myers Squibb, Lawrenceville where he was employed for 38 years before his retirement 14 years ago. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958. Mr. Fekete was a former member of the Milltown United Methodist Church, Milltown, a member of the Merri Eights Square Dance Club, East Brunswick and the Panhandlers Square Dance Club, Martinsburg, West Virginia. Surviving are his wife, W. June Ledbetter Fekete; a daughter, Linda J. Gatti and her husband, John of Freehold, a son, Theodore M. Fekete and his wife, Linda of Monroe Township; two sisters, Mary and Loretta; three brothers, George, Richard, and Russell Rosenberg; four grandchildren, Laura and John Gatti and Matthew and Alyssa Fekete; a special cousin, Richard Matthews; and two dear aunts, Clara Matthews and Antoinette Orsi. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 91 West Main Street, Freehold (732 462-1745) on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
