Obituary of James M. Pettit
James M. Pettit, 72, of Jackson Township died Thursday, October 25, 2007 at home. Mr. Pettit was born in Oceanside, N.Y. and had resided in Jackson Township for the past 22 years. He was U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Pettit was a financial analyst for Ansell Healthcare, Red Bank before his retirement. He was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine R.C. Church, Freehold Township where he served as a Eucharistic minister. He was a member of Our Lady Prayer Group, Spring Lake and Our Lady’s Prayer Group, Marlboro Township. Surviving are his wife, Carol O’Prandy Pettit; two sons, Raymond Pettit and his wife, Tonya, Alabama and Dan Pettit, Chicago, Illinois; a daughter, Sandy Barth and her husband, Ray, Kansas; two stepsons, Stephen Kinder and Robert Kinder and his wife, Carol, all of Jackson Township; two sisters, Barbara Schaeffer and her husband Duke, Colorado, and Marion Snekenburg, Hicksville, N.Y.; and 17 grandchildren. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine R.C. Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Orphans of Uganda, care of St. Catherine’s Church, 215 Essex Ave., Spring Lake, NJ 07762 would be appreciated.
