Obituary of Katherine G. Barnes

Katherine G. Barnes, 91, of Freehold died Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Atlantic Highlands Nursing Home, Atlantic Highlands. Mrs. Barnes was born in Reading, Pennsylvania and had resided in Burlington before moving to Freehold. Mrs. Barnes was a sales clerk and had previously been employed as a nursing home assistant and private care provider. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Burlington; and a member of the Freehold Christian Women’s Club and a sunshine lady at Hudson Manor, both of Freehold. Surviving are two sons, Ernest Walter Palmer, Savannah, Georgia and Raymond G. Barnes, West Branch, Iowa; three daughters, Marie L. Hulse, Freehold Township, Eileen K. Allen, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and Kathleen M. Fitzgerald, Des Moines, Iowa; a sister, Marie E. McCloskey, Maple Shade; ten grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading, Pennsylvania. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
