Obituary of Janet Rose Grumino

Janet Rose Grumino, 73, of Freehold died Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Grumino was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and had resided in the Port Richmond section of Staten Island before moving to Freehold 17 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. She was predeceased by a son Steven Grumino who died in 1984 and a brother Patrick DeFortuno. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John and Nancy Grumino, Port Monmouth; a daughter and son-in-law, Robyn and Larry Lashine, Manahawkin; a sister, Carol, Florida; her fiancé, Edward P. Keaney; and she was a loving grandmother to her three grandsons, Steven, Nicholas, and Joseph. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by private cremation.
