Obituary of Carol Marie Collins
Carol Marie Collins, 78, of Manalapan Township died Thursday, November 15, 2007 at home. Mrs. Collins was born in New York City and had resided in The Bronx before moving to Manalapan Township 42 years ago. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Englishtown and was a member of a rosary group in Manalapan Township. Mrs. Collins was a payroll clerk for the Manalapan Township Finance Department where she was employed for 37 years before her retirement four years ago. She was the widow of Edward D. Collins, Sr. who died in 1967. Surviving are three sons, Edward D. Collins, Jr., Point Pleasant Beach, Kevin Collins and his wife Kathleen, Belmar, and Thomas Collins, Manalapan Township; two daughters, Kathleen Grecia and her husband Joseph, Hershey, Pennsylvania and Joanne Collins and her husband Angel Ballester, Freehold; a brother, John Muller and his wife Pat, Lake Carmel, N.Y.; two sisters, Jean Binck, Queens, N.Y. and Elizabeth Sauthoff and her husband David, New York City; and five grandchildren, Kevin, Christopher, Katie, Anthony, and Caralyn. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, 58 Main Street, Englishtown on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
