Obituary of John L. Harrington

John L. Harrington, 69, of Marlboro Township died Monday, November 19, 2007 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Harrington was born in Covington, Virginia and had resided in New York City before moving to Marlboro Township in 1969. He was a deputy manager at Brown Brothers Harriman & Company, Wall Street, New York City before his retirement. Mr. Harrington was a graduate of Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. and had attended Pace University, New York City. He was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s R.C. Church, Marlboro Township. He enjoyed playing cards and bowling and was a dedicated family man devoting all his energy to his wife, sons, and grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Genevieve Harrington; two sons, Richard K. Harrington, Seaside Heights and Michael C. Harrington and his wife Stacy, Jackson Township; a sister, Patricia Dillon, Toms River; and five grandchildren, Jennifer, Katherine, Emily, John, and Sarah who adored him. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Church, Route 79, Marlboro Township on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by entombment at St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum.
