Obituary of Vincent A. Condon

Vincent A. Condon, 93, of Freehold died Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at home surrounded by his family. Mr. Condon was born in Jersey City and had resided there before moving to Freehold in 1956. Mr. Condon was a supervisor for the Garden State Parkway, Woodbridge before his retirement. After his retirement he was a messenger for the Central Jersey Bank, Freehold. He had been a self-employed retail store owner prior to his employment at the Garden State Parkway. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church and a member of Freehold Council No. 1672, Knights of Columbus, both of Freehold. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Condon; two sisters and six brothers; a son, Robert Vincent Condon in 1986; and a daughter, Carol A. Johnson in 2004. Surviving are his loving wife of 72 years, Evelyn Brudnicki Condon; a son, John Condon; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Robert Rathschmidt; a son-in-law, Linus A. Johnson; a daughter-in-law, Catherine Condon; a brother, Edward Condon, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Road, Freehold.
