Obituary of Zane T. Becker

Zane T. Becker, 89, of Howell Township died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Becker was born in New York City and had resided in Freehold before moving to Howell Township 54 years ago. Mrs. Becker was employed by Precision Filaments, Freehold before her retirement. Mrs. Becker was an avid New York Mets fan. She was also known throughout the area as a gifted cake and candy maker. Her cheerful outlook on life was an example to all who knew her. She was the widow of John L. Becker who died in 1973. She was also predeceased by a brother, Budd Malko. Surviving are three sons, John W. and Elizabeth Becker, Waterford, Maine, James H. and Jacqueline Becker, Pawlet, Vermont, and Paul F. and Cheryl L. Becker, Bomoseen, Vermont; a brother, Charles Malko, Freehold; a sister, Ruth Accisano, Manalapan Township; and five grandchildren, Melissa, Drew, Sara, Jonathan, and Thomas Becker. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from noon to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
