Better late than never so here i go. For the time that i knew Mrs. Sammak i knew how much she loved her family and how she was loved by all of them. From the moment i met her for the first time i felt welcome everytime i would come over. The whole family is just wonderful to be around and i respect all of them to the highest value. Mr. Sammak is a great man and i find him as a friend to me and i look forward to watching the yankees with him this year. Derek and Jared are great guys and Taryn is a great young lady. Mrs. Sammak you will be missed by many and you will always remain in my prayers. May you rest in peace and be with God and look over your family. May God bless your family they are amazing people R.I.P Ms. Sammak<>

I am so sorry for your loss. Donna was a great woman, and I considered her family, like an aunt. I will always remember our holiday seasons together, New Years in New Jersey. I have only fond memories of Donna Sammak, and these memories will always have a special place in my heart.

Ray, Jared, Derek, Taryn I love you all so much, and you will continue to be in my thought and prayers. Your mom gave me a candle for my birthday while we were on vacation, and I wont light it anymore to keep it pretty just like Donna. She was an all around wonderful person, and reflects so much in all of you.

The service was beautiful - perfectly fitting our beautiful Donna. The collages, trifold and video were the most wonderful tribute to her wonderful life...full life despite it not being long enough. Ray, you're are not only doing the best you can, but you're doing a great job. Jared, your perfect words were filled with such love and so very special. Taryn, your mom helped you get through your profound beautiful words, and your heart was being cradled by everyone present. Derek, your "first gig" was indescribable, so well done; you took our breath away with how beautiful it was, especially when you turned around to face and play to mom. She is so proud of all of you, no doubt. Continue to lean on the many that love you, understand the rollercoaster of emotions, mistakes by each other and to each other as you are dealing with your emotions - there is no specific way to grieve and try to keep reminding yourselves that "time" will will eventually be your friend as it slowly bring you some of the peace your mom now has. We love you...

I was fortunate to have met Donna in 2005 carpooling our daughters to cheerleading practices and talking for hours while sitting through their competitions. In the short time I had known Donna, I just knew she was a very special person. She shared with me wonderful family stories and was so proud of her children. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

To Ray, Jared, Derek & Taryn, In Donna's last few emails to me she kept saying how loving & supportive you all have been to her throughout her life & in her illness. She was lucky to have had you in her life as you were lucky to have had her in yours. I'm sure her love for you all will continue to live on in all your lives. I'd now like to say my farewell to Donna, as in her last email to me in December she appeared more positive than previously, so I never took the opportunity to say "farewell" as I would have liked. Donna, we started writing when 14 years old (37 years ago). That was the era of short pants with knee length boots!. We went through all the teenage phases (makeup, fashion, music, boyfriends, etc) through the great 70's & into adulthood when we continued on to share recipes & diet tips. All the photos we exchanged (highschool proms, graduations, vacations, your wedding & your babies). Our last big fling was our big "50"s in 2006. From then on things went sad for you & I tried desperately to find a solution for you. I remember my first big overseas experience in 1985 going halfway around the world travelling through Canada & ending up in downtown Manhattan waiting on you to collect me. I was sitting on my backpack on the kerb watching all the crowds & hearing no english. You have no idea what it was like to hear my name called out & looking up to see a face I had seen several times in your photos. I had a wonderful time with you & Ray. I was introduced to all your family & to Mexican cuisine. I often think of you & me driving along the New Jersey turnpike with Bruce Springsteen blasting from the car stereo (I still listen to him when on long car trips). I was looking forward to sending you a card for your 25th wedding anniversary & someday returning to visit you & to finally meet your children & pets. But God has decided that is not to be. So Donna here are some lyrics from a song called "Faraway Voice" which is sung by Katie Melua as a dedication to Eva Cassidy who like you also died far too young. "And I will walk with you On a summers day, And I will talk to you, Though you're far away, And we'll sing through the years". I really miss you Donna. God bless & goodbye. Love, Glenda.
