Obituary of Thelma Gershowitz
Thelma Gershowitz, 80, of Monroe Township died Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Princeton Medical Center, Princeton. Mrs. Gershowitz was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and had resided in Hightstown before moving to Monroe Township 20 years ago. She was a bookkeeper for Autoboys, a family owned and operated business in East Windsor before her retirement. Mrs. Gershowitz was a member of B’nai B’rith and Hadassah, both of Hightstown and the Clearbrook community of Monroe Township; and National Council of Jewish Women. Surviving are her husband, Herman Gershowitz; two sons, Nathaniel Gershowitz, Hamden, Conn., and Michael Gershowitz, Huntington, N.Y.; two daughters, Lynne Majewski, Wilmington, Delaware and Sharon Dirig, Binghamton, N.Y.; a sister, Ruth Goffman, Cherry Hill; and five grandchildren, Daniel and Aaron Sullivan and Matthew, Danielle, and Brian Gershowitz. Funeral services will be held at the Perrineville Jewish Chapel, Millstone Township on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at Perrineville Jewish Cemetery, 771-780 Perrineville Road, Millstone Township. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
