Obituary of Pinkey Miller-Gresham

Pinkey Miller-Gresham, 93, of Warrenton, N.C. , entered into eternal rest on February 14, 2008 at Maria Parham Medical Center, Henderson, N.C. The daughter of Bertha and Reese Miller, she was born on September 26, 1914 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was raised in Hastings, Florida and attended Hastings Public School System. In Hastings she met and married Hilbert Gresham in 1928. To this 69 years union they raised five children. In 1940 she moved to New Jersey and had resided in Freehold before moving to Warrenton, N.C. She was baptized at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. She leaves behind to mourn and cherish her memory four children, Bertha Mae Allen, Warrenton, N.C., Shirley Elizabeth Forbes, Asbury Park, Donald Carpenter, Willingboro, and Ronald Carpenter, Baltimore, Maryland; nine grandchildren, Elaine, Patricia, and Linda Brown, Pamela Drayton, Catrina Wilson, Renee and Alicia Forbes, Paris Carpenter, and Danielle Carpenter; nine great grandchildren; a great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday at noon followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. The viewing will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
