Obituary of Carrie Joan Thornton
Carrie Joan Thornton, 43, of Freehold passed away in her sleep at her brother’s home in Toms River on February 25, 2008. She was born in South Amboy and was a lifelong resident of Freehold. She was a hairdresser for over 20 most recently at Professional Hair Design the Freehold Raceway Mall where her specialties were weddings and prom hairstyles. She was a graduate of Freehold Township High School and Wilfred Beauty School, Red Bank. She was predeceased by her father, Michael Thornton, Sr. She is survived by her mother, Kathryn Thornton, Freehold; her brother, Michael Thornton, Jr., her aunts, Joan Carew and her husband Bob, South Amboy, Jean Selover and her husband Gary, Mississippi, and Pam Boyce, Toms River; many beloved cousins; and especially her special loved ones, Hannah Wisialko, Holly and Brandy Thompson and many friends and clients. Carrie’s passions were Halloween, garage sales, fishing with Dan, and parties in the back yard. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held during the visiting hours at 5:00 p.m.
