Obituary of Thomas P. O'Rourke

Thomas P. O’Rourke, 66, of Hightstown died Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at University Medical Center at Princeton. He was born in Bronx, N.Y. and had resided in Hightstown for the past 35 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969. Mr. O’Rourke was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church and a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 1955, both of Hightstown. He was a consultant for IBM, Dayton where he was employed for 35 years before his retirement. Surviving are a son, Thomas O’Rourke, Allentown; a daughter, Terri O’Rourke, Freehold; three brothers, James, Hightstown, Robert, Freehold, and Daniel, Howell Township; and two grandchildren, Skyler and Tiernan. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Hightstown on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
