Obituary of Violet M. Kuria

Violet M. Kuria, 83, of Monroe Township died Thursday, February 28, 2008 at home. Mrs. Kuria was born in Perth Amboy and had resided in Millstone Township before moving to Monroe Township 13 years ago. Mrs. Kuria was an executive secretary at Fort Monmouth, Eatontown before her retirement in the early 1980’s. Her husband, John Kuria, Jr. died in 1986. She was also predeceased by two brothers, John and Stanley Maslowski, and a sister, Mary Lehman. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Karen Kuria Gimbel and Robert B. Gimbel; a granddaughter, Carrie A. Dillon; and a sister Anna Davidowski. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Nativity of Our Lord Church, Monroe Township on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. There will be no visiting hours at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Nativity of Our Lord Church, 185 Applegarth Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831-5961 would be appreciated. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
