Obituary of Daniel M. Foley
Daniel M. Foley, 88, of Keansburg died Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Mr. Foley was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and resided in Staten Island, N.Y. before moving to Keansburg. Mr. Foley served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a foreman for the New York Times where he was employed for over 45 years before his retirement in 1992. Mr. Foley was a member of Freehold Council No. 1672, Knight of Columbus, Freehold and was an avid golfer. His wife, Joan D. Foley, died in 2000. Surviving are two sons, Daniel Foley and his wife Barbara and Michael Foley and his partner Bernard; two daughters, Joan Ann DiMaio and her husband Richard and Madeline Graham and her husband Frank; five grandchildren, Laurie Fausto, Angela Burton and her husband Joseph, Richard Di Maio Jr. and his wife Grace, Dawn Beaser and her husband Scott, and Danielle Graham; and four great grandchildren, Emily, Amanda, Connor, and Carter. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2: 00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. John’s Cemetery, Queens, N.Y.
