Obituary of Marie DeVitis

Marie DeVitis, 72, of Millstone Township died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at home surrounded by the love of her family following a brave battle against follicular lymphoma. She picked a perfect day to enter heaven. She was born in the Clarksburg section of Millstone Township and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a graduate of Allentown High School. Mrs. DeVitis was employed by F. Schumacher, Dayton before her retirement in 1998. Prior to that she was employed at The Nestle Company, Freehold. Surviving are her husband, Louis E. DeVitis; three sons, Thomas, Louis, and Kirk and his wife, Ann Christin DeVitis; two daughters, Denise Touhey and her husband Timothy, and Tami DeVitis; and four grandchildren, Tommy DeVitis, Cole, Quinn, and Maeve Touhey. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Hightstown on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
