Obituary of Lucille Zlotkin Brousell

Lucille Zlotkin Brousell, 84, of Monmouth Beach died Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, Delaware. Mrs. Brousell was a lifelong resident of Freehold before moving to Monmouth Beach in 2001. Mrs. Brousell was a graduate of Columbia University, New York City. She was a teacher in the Freehold Borough Schools before her retirement. Mrs. Brousell was a member of Congregation Agudath Achim, Freehold, the Sisterhood of the congregation, and Hadassah. She was a highly accomplished concert pianist, a generous and fun loving person, and a faithful and loving wife to her husband during his long illness. Her husband, Martin R. Brousell died in 1996. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Gary M. Brousell, Oceanport and his former wife, Jo Ann and Richard Paul Brousell and his wife, Connie, Wilmington, Delaware; and three grandchildren, Steven, Anna, and Avi. Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at the Hebrew Benefit Society Cemetery, Freehold. Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association would be appreciated.
