Obituary of Samuel Curlis Gravatt

Samuel Curlis Gravatt, 81, of Millstone Township died Friday, April 18, 2008 at home. Mr. Gravatt was born in the Elton section of Freehold Township and had resided in the Clarksburg section of Millstone Township since 1932. He was a construction super indent and heavy equipment operator before his retirement. He was also a school bus driver for the Millstone Township Schools. Surviving are his wife, Helen Globis Gravatt; a son, Gary B. Gravatt and his wife Rita, Freehold; two daughters, Jeanette Lynn Gravatt, Clarksburg and Helen Marie Tarnecki and her husband John,, Plainsboro; and three grandchildren, Michael, Jonathan, and Adam. Graveside services will be held at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations the American Heart Association would be appreciated. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
