Obituary of Paul K. Blevins
Paul K. Blevins, 65, of Freehold Tuesday, April 22, 2008 in Freehold. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1966.
He was a National Hot Rod Association Modified class racer with a 1972 U.S. National title and World Finals championship, divisional championships, and national records. In 1973 he became a Pro Stock racer. He raced in Pro Stock through the end of 1977 before leaving the sport for research and development. After his son became involved in Junior drag racing he developed and manufactured aftermarket parts for half scale cars.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Blevins and a son, Matthew, both of Elmwood Park; and a brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Charlene Blevins, Freehold Township.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The interment will be held at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
