Obituary of Dorothy Ann Lamb
Dorothy Ann Lamb, 84, of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of the Freehold area, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. She was born in Palatine, Illinois. She graduated from Trumansburg Central School, Trumansburg, N.Y. in 1942 and settled in the Freehold area that year.
Mrs. Lamb was a homemaker but enjoyed the summers she worked as a paddock judge for the New Jersey Sire Stakes.
She was loved by all who knew her.
He was predeceased by her husband Michael “Mickey” Lamb who died in 1983 and a son, Steven Lamb who died in 1995.
Surviving are three children, Susan Applegate, Mary Patterson, and Elizabeth Benke; three sisters, Margaret Cahill, Connie Patterson, and Helen Dugan; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
