Obituary of Jean M. Anderson

Jean M. Anderson, 87, of Jackson Township died Monday, June 2, 2008 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Mrs. Anderson was born in Amsterdam, N.Y. and resided in Silvermead, Freehold Township before moving to Jackson Township six years ago. She was a graduate of Freehold High School. Mrs. Anderson was a waitress at the American Hotel, Freehold, Colts Neck Inn, Colts Neck Township, Freehold Gardens, Freehold Township and Buttonwood Manor, Matawan. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed spending her time with her family, going to family parties, and shopping. She was a communicant of St. Aloysius R.C. Church and was active in the Westlake Mews Community, both of Jackson Township. She was a former election polling place worker in Freehold Township. Surviving are four daughters, Carole McDonald, Manchester, Lynne Christen and her husband, Walter, Waterbury, Conn., Janine Prochnow and her husband, Wayne, Freehold, and Tracey Bruseski and her husband, Steven, Jackson Township; a sister, Shirley Carter, Vero Beach, Florida; ten grandchildren, Kelly Lee, Jennifer McDonald, Megan Aiello, Cary and Keith Karp, Shane Christen, Brian and Brittany Prochnow, and Joseph and Paige Lin Bruseski; and six great grandchildren. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 P.M. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, Jackson Township on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. followed by entombment at Maplewood Chapel Mausoleum, Freehold.
