Obituary of Carmen Irizarry
Carmen Irizarry, 62, of Freehold, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, she moved to the Freehold area 37 years ago.
Mrs. Irizarry was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was an active member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold.
She was predeceased by her parents, Leandro Cruz and Juana Velez Cruz, and a brother, Antonio Cruz.
She is survived by her husband, Guadalupe Irizarry Jr.; a daughter, Migdalia Irizarry; four brothers, Reinaldo, Jose, Juan and Francisco Cruz; three sisters Maria, Irma and Ana Cruz; three grandchildren, Russell Bailey, Queen Robinson and Everlasting Sanders; two special nieces whom she helped raise, Zandra and Marisol Vega and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold followed by internment at St Rose of Lima Cemetery.
