Obituary of Eileen Marie Stroby Gentile

Eileen Marie “Rie” Stroby Gentile, 58, of Parlin died Friday, July 25, 2008 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Mrs. Gentile was born in Bayonne, was raised in Marlboro Township, and had resided in Englishtown before moving to Parlin. She was communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Englishtown and a graduate of Freehold High School. She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene John Gentile in 2006, her father, Charles Robert Stroby, and a cousin, Edward Smith. Surviving are five sons, Michael Lamb, Middlebury, Conn., Eugene Gentile, Streetsboro, Ohio, Frank Gentile, South Amboy, and James and Joseph Gentile, both of Manalapan Township; her mother, Eileen Stroby, Parlin; a brother, Robert C. Stroby, Middlebury, Conn.; two grandchildren, Joe and Paige Gentile; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
