Obituary of Florence Petrik

Florence Petrik, 73, of Lakewood died Thursday, August 7, 2008 at home. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and had resided in Manalapan Township and Freehold before moving to Lakewood three months ago. Mrs. Petrik was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Englishtown and a member of the Third Order of Carmelites and the Legion of Mary. Her husband, Cornelius A. Petrik, Jr. died in 1995. Surviving are two sons, Eric A. Petrik, Califon and Kirk A. Petrik and his wife, Kristin, Glen Gardener; three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Stephan De Fonzo, Wayne, Pennsylvania, Karen and Russell Hansen, Brick Township, and Georgina and Charles Pugliese, Red Bank; a sister, Doris Seuferling, Linden; and four grandchildren, Ryan and Rachel Hansen, Katherine De Fonzo, and Max Petrik. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
