Obituary of Donald J. Dalton

Donald J. Dalton, 71, of Freehold Township passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Hackensack Medical Center, Hackensack. Born in Brooklyn, New York he lived there and in New York City prior to moving to Freehold Township 47 years ago. Mr. Dalton was the managing director of the Atrium Café, Neptune Township for the past eight years. Prior to that, he owned and operated several exclusive restaurants and delicatessens in the tristate area. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold. He was predeceased by his parents, Everett and Anne Brophy Dalton, his brothers, William, Thomas, John and Patrick Dalton, and his sister, Sr. Mary Rosina, R.S.M. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Williams Dalton; a daughter, Kerry Ann Dalton, Freehold Township; five brothers, James Dalton, Mount Sinai, New York, Michael Dalton, Fort Lee, Joseph Dalton, Levittown, New York, Kevin Dalton, London, England, and Emmett Dalton, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Mary Jane McGrath, Lindenhurst, New York, and Eileen Boncore, Center Moriches, New York; a grandson, Connor Joseph Dalton; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
