Obituary of Robert C. Grove

Robert C. Grove, 96, of Applewood Estates, Freehold Township died Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Grove was born in Ventnor and had resided in Morrisville, Pennsylvania and San Diego, California before moving to Freehold Township in 1991. Mr. Grove was a graduate of Trenton Central High School, Class of 1930 and University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business. He was an accountant for Harry M. Stevens, Inc., New York City where he was employed for 31 years before his retirement 32 years ago. His wife, Rhodajane Hudnut Grove, died in 1992. Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth H. Icenhower, St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada and Virginia G. Siever, Deal, Maryland; a sister, Marian Bronson, Derwood, Maryland; five grandchildren, Ann Johnston, Steven R. Potter, Wendy Icenhower, Sarah A. Harman, and Gail Icenhower, and two great granddaughters, Maryjane Harman and Lexie E. Johnston. Memorial donations to Thirteen/WNET, 450 West 33rd Street, New York, NY 10001 would be appreciated. Private family services are under the direction of the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold.
