Obituary of Adair W. Alexander

Adair W. “Al” Alexander, 80 of Freehold died Thursday, September 4, 2008 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Grand Island, Nebraska, he lived in the Freehold area for the past 40 years. Mr. Alexander was a district manager for Belding Lily Company, Charlotte, North Carolina for 40 years, retiring 18 years ago. After his retirement, he was a counselor for five years for the New Hope Foundation, Marlboro Township. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold. Surviving are his beloved wife of 58 years, Eleanor Lakers Alexander; his devoted children, Robert Adair Alexander and his wife Paula Kay Gilsdorf , Jackson, Mississippi, Bruce David Alexander and his wife Sarah, Forked River, Marie Wilkinson and her husband Larry, Fair Haven, Kathy Grove, Bordentown, Judi Alexander and her companion Paul Rinear, Howell Township, and Sue Alexander, Milltown. He is also survived by eight loving grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Monday, September 8, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold, on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at 10:00 A.M. Entombment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Mausoleum, Freehold.
