Obituary of Jean DeVito

Jean Sypulski DeVito, 92 of Mystic, Connecticut, died Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Mary Elizabeth Nursing Center, Mystic, CT. Born in Linden, NJ she lived in Bayside, NY, Freehold, NJ, Glenview, IL, and North Arlington, NJ prior to moving to Connecticut six years ago with her daughter and grandaughter. Mrs. DeVito was a seamstress for the Polchak Coat Factory, Freehold, NJ. She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church, Mystic, CT. Her husband, Michael J. DeVito died August 26, 1978. Surviving are a daughter, Geralyn DeVito, Mystic, CT; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Joan DeVito, Palos Heights, IL; a brother, Roman T. Kowalski, Santa Barbara, CA; and five grandchildren - Michael, Elizabeth, Anthony, Sarah and Matthew. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Monday, September 15, 2008 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. A Mass of Ressurection will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church on Tuesday at Noon. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
