Obituary of Howard S. Hoppenfeld
Howard S. Hoppenfeld, 70, of Manchester Township died Friday, September 26, 2008 at home. He was born in Bronx, N.Y.
He had served in the U.S. Army and was a graduate of New York University, New York City, Class of 1960.
Mr. Hoppenfeld was the president of Fairview Monument Company, Fairview before his retirement.
He was a member of Parkchester Knights of Pythias Lodge, Bronx, N.Y., a past president of the Ridgefield Rotary Club, and a member of the Bronx Club of Renaissance Community, Manchester Township.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jerome and Celia Matz Hoppenfeld.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Elaine Lubetzky Hoppenfeld; a son, Dr. Brad Hoppenfeld and his wife, Michelle; a daughter Wendy Kelly and her husband Thomas; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Steven and Gail Lubetsky, Monroe Township; and five grandchildren, Jacob, Danielle, Emma, Hannah, and Samantha.
Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus. Memorial donations to The Vascular Birthmarks Foundation, P.O. Box 106, Latham, New York 12110 would be appreciated. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
