Obituary of Emma Jean Prince
Emma Jean Prince, 73, of Lakewood died Friday, October 24, 2008 at home. Mrs. Prince was born in Bainbridge, Georgia.
She was a cook at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township where she was employed for 25 years before her retirement in 1995.
She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, Freehold; Lee B. Gibson Temple No. 1014 and the Antler Guard Marching Unit, both of Freehold, and Mary Hightower Council, Toms River.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Leonard, Tommy, and Charlie Robinson and two sisters, Elizabeth Robinson and Bernice Ingram; two grandsons, Anthony Prince and Cavean Atkins; and her companion, Arthur Dixon.
Surviving are three sons, William Prince, Lakewood, Benjamin Prince, Macon, Georgia, and Ronald Dixon, Neptune Township; five daughters, Rose Jones, Joyce Prince, and Lillie Love, all of Lakewood and Emma Dixon and Sharyl Dixon, both of Asbury Park; two sons-in-law, Larry Love and Ron Jones; two brothers, Johnnie Robinson and Willie James Robinson; 24 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
The viewing will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church, 28 First Street, Freehold on Thursday from noon to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the church at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
