Obituary of Jacob F. Pacana
Jacob F. Pacana, 81, of Freehold Township died Saturday, December 6, 2008 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Pacana was born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania and had resided in Roselle before moving to Freehold Township in 1987.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Pacana was a machinist for Boyle Midway, Cranford for 21 years before his retirement.
He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold and a member of Knights of Columbus, Council No. 2859, Linden.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Helen Zamorski Pacana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane M. and Jay H. O’Neill and Debramarie E. and Robert D. McCann; three grandchildren, Ensign Daniel J. O’Neill, U.S.N., Emily V. O’Neill, and Brian R. McCann; and many nieces and nephews.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to St. Rose of Lima School, 51 Lincoln Place, Freehold, NJ 07728 would be appreciated.
