Obituary of Ronald J. Tomczyk

Ronald J. Tomczyk, 65, of Freehold Township died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Newark and resided in Union Township before moving to Freehold Township 37 years ago. Ron was a driver for Safeway Trucking Company, Elizabeth for 37 years. Ron was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold; a 31 year member of the East Freehold Fire Company, Freehold Township; and an avid softball player who played for East Freehold Fire Company and senior softball league. He had also been a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 1454, Freehold. Surviving are his wife, Karen Dunbar Tomczyk; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Jacqueline Tomczyk; a daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Gareth Montague-Smith; and a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Patricia Tomczyk. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
