Obituary of Margaret Mary Carbin

Margaret Mary Carbin, 90, of East Windsor Township died Monday, December 15, 2008 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton Township. Mrs. Carbin was born in Cranbury and had resided in Millstone Township for 57 years and in Cream Ridge for 11 years before moving to East Winsdor Township. Mrs. Carbin was a sandblaster for Washington Forge Company, Englishtown where she was employed for 31 years before her retirement 25 years ago. She was a former communicant of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Perrineville; a member of the Millstone Township Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Monmouth County Firemen’s Auxiliary, a life member of the New Jersey State Firemen’s Association Auxiliary, Millstone Township Senior Citizens, B.P.O.E. Lodge Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Society of Millstone Township. She was the widow of Vincent Louis Carbin, Sr. who died in 1985. Surviving are a son, Vincent Louis Carbin, Freehold Township; a daughter, Ann Strout, East Windsor Township; two sisters, Mary Briggs, Pennsylvania and Elizabeth Sanford, Florida; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Viewing hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
