Obituary of Helen Rose Worthington
Helen Rose Worthington, 81, of Tinton Falls died Friday, December 19, 2008 at Renaissance at Seabrook, Tinton Falls. She was born in Spring Lake.
Mrs. Worthington graduated from Beaver College, Glenside, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry.
She was employed at American Cyanamid, Princeton from 1950 to 1955 and at Worthington Biochemical Company, Freehold from 1955 to 1960.
She married Charles C. Worthington in 1958.
Helen loved travelling, gardening, the ocean, and babies. She will be missed for spectacular cooking, lively parties, and her quirky wit.
Surviving are two sons, Christopher and Jonathan Worthington; a daughter, Kimberly Worthington-Kirsch; two sisters, Sophie P. and Lee M. Polchak; and six grandchildren, Caitlyn Salkind, Constance, Nyssa, Thaddeus, and Sophia Worthington-Kirsch, and Adam Jonathan Worthington.
Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. followed by funeral services at 5:30 p.m. Memorial donations to The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, 3300 Route 66, Neptune, NJ 07753 would be appreciated.
