Obituary of Anthony Della Ratta

Anthony Della Ratta, 72, of Freehold Township died suddenly on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Della Ratta was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and had resided in Manalapan Township for 19 years before moving to Freehold Township. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. He was a systems analyst and programmer for The Home Insurance Company, New York City for 45 years. He was predeceased by three brothers, Victor, Dominick, and Joseph Della Ratta. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Rasso Della Ratta; a son, Anthony David Della Ratta; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Anne and Gennaro Tevolini; four brothers, Danny, John, Louis, and Gino Della Ratta; two sisters, Santa Biglione and Katherine Russo; a granddaughter, Sabrina Danae Tevolini; and many nieces and nephews. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine R. C. Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold on Wednesday, December 24, at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
