Obituary of Drewilly Brown

Drewilly Brown, 85, of Freehold died November 7, 2015 at Applewood Estates Healthcare Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Brown was born in Sylvania, Georgia. She was a cook on the original staff at the former Freehold Area Hospital, now CentraState Medical Center, Freehold where she was employed until her retirement. Mrs. Brown was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, Freehold where she served on the Pastor’s Aide and Women’s Auxiliary of the church. She was the widow of Marion Smith Brown who died in 1988. She was also predeceased by a son, Barry Smith Brown and two daughters, Nona Therlyn Brown and Brenda Brown Horton. Surviving are a son, Marion Larry Brown; two daughters, Angie Brown Foster and Beverly Brown Chandler; a sister, Edna Taylor; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. The viewing will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church, Freehold on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
