Obituary of M. Carol Weiss
M. Carol Weiss, 69, of Manalapan Township died Saturday, December 27, 2008 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Weiss was born in Perth Amboy, was raised in Laurence Harbor, and had resided in Manalapan Township for the past 49 years.
Mrs. Weiss and her husband owned and operated Manalapan Brake Parts and Weiss Towing, Manalapan Township. She was also a secretary at LaVoie Laboratories, Morganville.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Englishtown where she served as a deacon, choir member, and member of the pulpit nominating committee.
She was a graduate of Sayreville High School, Class of 1956 and was a 4H leader.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Page Weiss, in 1971.
Surviving are her husband, Robert E. Weiss; two sons and daughters-in-law, James R. and Kathleen A. Weiss, Manalapan Township and Steven C. and Laura A. Weiss, Howell Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda W. and Manuel A. Costa, Marlboro Township; a brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Rita Lastein, Ocala, Florida; and five grandchildren, Matthew E. and Tatiana M. Costa, and Scott A., Katherine E. and Julia M. Weiss.
Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Englishtown on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the First Presbyterian Church of Englishtown, 50 Main Street, Englishtown, NJ 07726 would be appreciated.
