Obituary of Emine Youssouf
Emine Youssouf, 81, of Manalapan Township died Friday, January 9, 2009 at St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mrs. Youssouf was born in Turkey and immigrated to the United States.
She was a renowned Turkish cook. She was a traditional Turkish woman devoted to family and friends whose table was always full, whose door was always open, and whose hospitality was boundless. She represented the best of old world Turkish customs and will be sorely missed those who knew her.
Her husband, Kemal Youssouf, died 1999.
Surviving are a son, Michael Youssouf; two daughters and sons-in-law, Keziban “Kay” Carrier and Hasbi Aydin and Jeanette and Sani Gunay; and four grandchildren, Kenneth and Adem Carrier and Katherine and Carly Youssouf.
Relatives and friends will gather at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The interment will follow at the East Windsor Cemetery, East Windsor Township.
